Privacy policy

The short version
TeslaSound has no accounts. Your location is used only inside your browser to work out your speed, and it is never sent to us. We use anonymous analytics only if you say Yes.
Location
The site asks your browser for your location so the engine sound can follow your speed. The location is processed on your device and is not uploaded, stored on a server or shared.
Data stored on your device
- Your settings (volume, car, units) and your choice about analytics, in your browser's local storage.
- A free-trial usage counter and a random device ID, so the free daily trial and your subscription can be recognised.
- After you pay, a signed cookie on your phone that lets you link a second car to your subscription without paying again. It is strictly necessary for that feature.
Analytics and cookies
When you first visit, we ask whether we may use analytics. If you choose No, the analytics script is never loaded. If you choose Yes, we load Vercel Web Analytics, which gives us anonymous page-view statistics (for example which pages are opened and roughly what device and country). You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer.
Payments
Subscriptions are handled by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe's hosted page and never reach us. We receive from Stripe only what we need to know whether a subscription is active (such as a customer and subscription ID). See Stripe's privacy policy.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like most hosts, Vercel keeps technical server logs (such as IP address and requested page) for security and operation.
Your rights
Because we do not keep a profile about you, there is usually nothing to look up. You can clear the data above at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. To ask a question or make a privacy request, contact lifemock@gmail.com.
Children
TeslaSound is intended for drivers and is not directed at children.
Changes
